This phrase was stuck in my head ever since I read it a month or so ago in The Resolution For Women. I wrote it down so I could frame it in our house.
Every problem, every issue, every potential diaster, every family member’s weakness or failure, every less than desirable circumstance – when viewed through the lens of grace – becomes a fresh opportunity for extending mercy and kindness. Bestowing compassion. – Priscilla Shirer, The Resolution For Women
In light of the events that occurred in Boston yesterday and the scary circumstances around our world, it’s a comfort to remember that while I can’t control what goes on around the globe, I can control what goes on in my home. I want to remember to chose actions and words that fill my home with peace and grace not anger, resentment, or foolishness. As Shirer says, let’s be women who resolve to make our homes a safe place for our loved ones to find a haven from the world.
So here is the 8×10 print for you to download and put up in your house as a reminder to let peace reign, let grace rule.
“A wise woman builds her house.
But a foolish woman tears hers down with her own hands.” – Proverbs 14:1
Love this. Especially about filling our homes with grace and peace. Thanks Kelly. 🙂
You’re welcome Jessica! Hope you are well!
Thanks for this print! I love the message behind it. Thanks for the reminder to extend grace during this sad week.
