I just found out I will be going to Atlanta for work at the end of the month. Which means I have to leave my baby for 5 days!! I have never been away from him overnight before so this may be HARD for me. If anyone has any cooping tips, I’m all ears. This Mama may turn into the baby!
In other news, Jack is getting dedicated at church this weekend and I have quite the story for you surrounding his dedication. I will share next week 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Thank you Lola!
it is super hard to leave your kiddos! i missed faith sooo much whether it was for wedding weekend or when i was in japan for 2 weeks. here are some tips: bring pictures and videos. i had videos of her on my camera and sometimes it helped just to watch it before i went to bed, like i was saying goodnight to her. also, stay busy – it’s a time to try and enjoy and focus on some things that you can’t do when you are with them. i also asked caleb to load pictures of her so i could see the things she was having fun doing. it was hard in japan because i couldn’t talk to him about her, but the pictures helped. also, let’s face it, even though caleb is the greatest dad, i worried about faith being cared for. so having some conversations with him beforehand about some things that i wanted to be sure he remembered really made me feel at peace to leave for that long. hope this helps!!! you are going to do great!
Aww thank you Oneida for the tips and your insight! Glad to know it’s possible and the little ones do in fact survive 😉 Always reassuring to hear it from seasoned Mamas!
Oh I meant to tell you I’m currently out if town on a little excursion and had to leave my little guy behind! We are loving FaceTime! And I send him an email with pics each morning! ( well to his grandma!)
I just recently had to go to Nashville for 3 days and be away from my 3 little ones. 🙁 It’s tough. I kept telling myself that I needed the break and I did enjoy myself but one thing that helped…is using Facetime on my iphone if you have WiFi. Or is you won’t have WiFi there is an app called Tango that you can use with data. It’s not great but it helps to see your babies doing their daily routine and before bed. You could even use one of those and read him a story at night. 🙂 Just a thought.
You look beautiful.
lovely pics! love your fall style
