It’s probably a sin for me to wear shorts considering my ghostly legs. But I’m on a mission to bring back untanned skin… so far the mission hasn’t caught on ;). For 24+ years I tanned and tanned and finally around 25 I accepted I have fair skin and that’s just gonna have to do. I think the turning point was when I found my first sun spot on my face. From then I vowed not to get in a tanning bed or lather myself with oil in the sun ever again. Spf 30 it is for me! So please forgive these photos and happy Fashion Friday!
You look so great,I love the untanned skin mission too 😉 I am expecting our first little boy in Aug and just love reading your blog! I also just got my first DSLR and enjoy looking and reading through all of your photography post too! I check your blog daily and it is a treat the days you post! Thanks for all your post! 😉 Amanda.
Untanned skin is where it’s at. That’s what I keep telling my fair self, anyway! You look great!
Tanning grosses me out, but I think that’s because I’m naturally really olive-y. Hah. Oh well. I believe in getting a healthy amount of sun–laying on a blanket in the yard for 30 mins on a sunny day here in Seattle is harmess, but that whole tanning beds & yucky sunburn scene grosses me out. A bunch of women that I know tan every chance they get at sun here, and it makes me roll my eyes. Go you for trying to bring it back-you’re not alone!
oh, i rock the pale as well! and it’s definitely going to catch on … someday!
I’ll join that mission – I burn so easily, so it is so much easier to just put on tons of sunscreen and call it a day – no painful skin later! 🙂 Plus -you know, that means less wrinkles later on in life! 🙂 Let’s just call it an investment into our beauty of our futures! 🙂
Yey for white legs LOL! I have given up numerous times because my skin does not tan either…i am lucky my kids are a good blend of pale skin and my husbands dark skin so they tan beautifully!
I used to tan a lot, and very well, too. But ever since i graduated college and have had a real job, i don’t have time for tanning. I’ve become very fair skinned, despite that my dad was born in the Caribbean, and have just learned to accept it. Own it, girl!
Rock on with your pale self!
Love your ombre hair! So cute! ps. If you’re ever feeling the tan need, check out neutrogena fine mist tanning spray (no sun required!) its the best, most natural, tan-in-a-can I’ve ever used
I live in South Spain and I tan very easy. But I use 30 SPF too, 50 SPF in the face to avoid spots. Despite the high SPF I get tan too, but slower. I don’t want to look like a roasted chicken!
My dermatologist told me that Nicole Kidman should be my inspiration. I said, “challenge accepted.” Tanning is too much work for my white self!
