We celebrated my Dad’s 56 birthday this weekend and yes we put 56 candles on that cake. Happy Birthday Dad, I hope you know how much I appreciate your love, support, and the fact that you asked for soft slippers for your birthday just so I wouldn’t hear you in the morning and would be able to sleep in a little longer 🙂

I think it’s great that you all put those candles on the cake. It is such a blessing to get older, I wish more people would embrace that. So many people don’t make it to that age and so it’s a huge accomplishment to be able to experience that.
