For those that follow me on instagram, you know I was in Arizona for a week and for those of you that don’t, yes I’m alive!
Sorry for the silence over here, I had good intentions of blogging while I was on vacation but never got the chance. I literally opened my computer once. And it felt really good for a change. We had an amazing time catching up with friends, soaking up the sun (yes that’s a tank top I’m wearing in January!), and eating some delicious food. We hadn’t been back to Tucson since before I was pregnant so it felt good for our friends there to finally meet Jack and see our family of 3.
Our trip was jammed pack… I threw an early surprise birthday party for D, got to attend my friend Jenna’s baby shower, took her maternity photos, went on a couple hikes, and did some shopping. A January trip to the desert definitely has a person wondering why they live in the frozen tundra. Especially when that trip reminds you of such great friendships! But there’s a season for everything. And sometimes a little distance makes you appreciate those friendships even more. Oh and remembering summers in the desert should shake that nostalgia real quick. 😉
