HANNAH’S MATERNITY PHOTOS

April 20, 2011 · 94 comments

I’ve been so anxious to share these pictures with you! Hannah as some of you know, is my younger sister and is pregnant with her second little one – a girl this time! When she had William, I was living in Arizona and wasn’t around for all the pregnancy excitement so this time I’m so glad I’m here! I get to help her with the baby’s room, share in the excitement, and just have sisterly bonding time! This is really something we were missing out on when I was living so far away and has made the move transition a lot easier. I have said it before but I really do mean that my sisters are my best friends!

I actually had to do some convincing in order for Hannah to let me take maternity photos but we discussed how it could be done in a classy, beautiful way and I think we accomplished that! We took these in her bedroom at home which has beautiful natural colors and light. I’d love to hear what you all think! I can’t wait til the little Fluffnut comes! She’s due May 11th so it could be anytime now!

These are beautiful. And your sister is stunning. Someone else may have pointed this out already, but maternity is spelled incorrectly in your header. I found these via Pinerest, my new obsession.

I see these all over Pinterest and I just adore them. I feel that it is very rare to see maternity shots done well but these definitely win the blue ribbon.

been trying to think of a way to do a few maternity pics that aren’t super cheeseball and i really like the way you did these. classy. although now i’m a bit large to be taking pictures…probably wouldn’t be cute anymore.

Just came across these on pintrest! Amazing work and beautiful mother. So many maternity pictures look cheesy or a little to boudoir if you ask me. You captured being pregnant in such a lovely way. Love it!

For those of you that wondered what Hannah’s wearing…

Knit Top: Forever 21
Sweatpants: Target
Long-sleeve shirt: Gap
Scarf: H&M

Hope that helps :)

These are the most beautiful pictures I’ve ever seen and your sister is one of the most beautiful ladies I’ve ever seen. Your story made me cry, my sister is almost to that point in her life and I CAN NOT WAIT!

kellyhicks April 17, 2012 at 4:44 pm

Hannah got her bed at JCPenny’s but she spray painted it. Her bedding is from Target except for the blue pillow which was handmade with fabric from Hancock Fabrics. Hope that helps!

Donna April 19, 2012 at 12:52 pm

These are gorgeous! Just curious what lens you used for them?

Wendy May 9, 2012 at 12:50 pm

Just wondering what processing you used? Gorgeous and I’ve compared a lot of my sessions to your style. I have used a coffee shop action that looks similar to these B&W shots….I also understand if you don’t want to share your recipe….I’m just in love with the tones! :)

Jenna May 9, 2012 at 9:41 pm

Hannah, you are gorgeous, your eyes are beautiful! I am not pregnant yet and never have been but when my time comes, I hope I look this cute!! I LOVE the silhouette picture – precious! :) This is inspiring and breath-taking!

Jennifer Gilbert May 17, 2012 at 8:58 pm

Finally I found the original source of the silhouette image that’s been floating around Pinterest and the internet!

Wonderful work!
