My sister Hannah and I made these poms for her baby’s room! Didn’t they turn out pretty?? They sit right above the crib so the baby will have something colorful to look at. I know these have been done so many times before all over the internet but this was our first attempt at them and we did learn a couple things along the way so I thought I’d share our process. They are really easy and an affordable way to decorate a room or for a party. Hannah added the mirror behind them for extra dimension.
Here’s what you’ll need for materials if you want to try them:

1) White Tacks
2) Tissue (1 packet for small poms, 2 packets for large poms) The secret to good poms is using enough layers of tissue!
3) Fishing Line
4) Scissors

I can’t wait to show you the rest of the baby’s room!

so pretty! i can’t wait to see more and eventually see it in real life! fluffnut’s gonna have the cutest room EVA!

BUT you did inspire me to make a mini pom broach to wear today.

Hi! These are beautiful…. how many sheets are in your pack of tissue paper? Would it be 24 tissues for a small and 50 tissues for large?
Also…. do you remember the size of the tissue paper? Thanks so much for your help! I’m hoping to make some of these for my sisters shower.
Hi Jenn Jenn – my tissue had 6 sheets in a pack so 12 sheets for a large pom and 6 sheets for a small pom. The tissue was 20in x 23in. Hope that helps – good luck with your sister’s shower!
