ART inspiring thoughtfulness

I love how art can inspire thoughtfulness. I found this pretty stationary at Micheal’s the other day and it inspired me to send my grandparents a little note. They live far away in Minnesota so I don’t get to see them very often. But every time I receive a card or note from my grandma my heart smiles. There’s something special about handwritten letter. Holding the physical letter in your hands, feeling the indents of the ink impressions, knowing they held the same paper and took time to write it especially for you. I always feel like a little kid when I get personal mail. I jump up, grab the letter, and quickly tear open the envelope. And smile as I read it.

I hope this little post inspires thoughtfulness in you. Tell me in the comment section who you plan to write a note to.

And just a little reminder, as my grandma always writes in her notes to me… The Lord is good.

I’m going to Michael’s to get that stationary, it’s beautiful! Let’s see….we’re sending a cute little Valentine’s card to our 7 year old niece…I decorated the envelope with pretty stickers, and a huge on of a flower bouquet on the back. I thought to myself, “I’d be excited to get this envelope in the mail.” Haha. Thanks for this post Kelly, makes me want to send lots of letters!ReplyCancel

  • I love that you wrote about notes! I’m really into cards and handwritten letters right now. I have a friend that I exchange letters with every month or so through the mail and there’s something so special about it, so I’ve been trying to do it a lot more.ReplyCancel
